Para convertirse en un asistente certificado de salud en el hogar, puede tomar nuestro curso de capacitación CHHA de 76 horas aprobado por el estado de Nueva Jersey.

 

  • Nuestro curso de 4 semanas se ofrece mensualmente por las mañanas y por las noches durante la semana.

  • Clases disponibles en todas las oficinas de Care For U Plus en Nueva Jersey.

  • Impartido por enfermeras registradas aprobadas por la Junta de Enfermería del estado de Nueva Jersey.

Assisting the Elder
  • What are the requirements to become a Home Health Aide?
    - Successfully complete a homemaker-home health aide training course that is approved by the Board of Nursing in NJ (Which we provide!) - Complete a competency evaluation by a NJ licensed home health care agency - Be at least 18 years of age - Possess a valid and current NJ Board of Nursing certification as a Homemaker-Home Health Aide - Pass federal and state criminal history background checks
  • How do I apply to become a Certified Home Health Aide?
    We are always looking for good candidates! You can contact us through the "Contact Us" page or give one of our offices a call.
  • What does the course consist of?
    60 hours of classroom instruction covering a wide range of topics you will need to know to become a Certified Home Health Aide, plus an additional 16 hours of clinical to teach you the practical skills you'll need.
  • What topics are covered in classroom course curriculum?
    - Anatomy and physiology - Safety conditions - Standard precautions and infection control - Body mechanics - Emergency situations - Hospice care - Chronic Conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia - Diabetes - Heart disease - Arthritis - Cancer - Cerebral Palsy - Autism - And more
  • What topics are covered in the clinical portion?
    - How to take vital signs -Changing non-sterile dressings - Caring for patients who have urinary catheter - Properly Transferring patients using Hoyer Lift and other mechanical devices - Giving patient a bed-bath and other hygene skills - How to perform Range of Motion (ROM) exercises
  • What happens after the course?
    Once you have pass the exam, Care For U Plus will submit your application to the New Jersey Board of Nursing for processing. Upon completion of the fingerprinting processing and background check, you will become certified as a Home Health Aide, Care For U Plus provides available employment opportunities to qualified candidates throughout New Jersey.
